About Kaitlyn

Hello, friend. Thank you for visiting our website. I'm Kaitlyn, and I'm so happy you're here. Whether you're preparing to become pregnant, currently pregnant, or have ever been pregnant, I truly hope we get a chance to connect. I am a DONA Certified Birth Doula, RI Certified Perinatal Doula, and Postpartum Doula specializing in working with those wanting an unmedicated birth in the hospital, those choosing to have a home birth, those walking through birth anxiety, and those wanting advocacy support. I take an overall holistic and natural-minded approach to care, emphasizing the sacredness of birth and motherhood. I utilize evidence-based childbirth education to teach, Spinning Babies techniques to physically support, trauma-informed care to emotionally support, and Birth Monopoly information to encourage advocacy. I work with my clients throughout their pregnancy, continuously through labor and birth, and during postpartum.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Education, and prior to becoming a birth doula I spent a decade professionally teaching. My career has been spent educating and caring for children and their families, which has proven to be extremely beneficial to my birth work. It’s my desire to continue supporting and loving on families as they engage in the most important moments of their lives.
I birthed both of my children at home and I have a deep love and respect for home births. I personally prefer the holistic model of midwifery care, and for me, both of my births felt safest at home. Through my own pregnancy and birth experiences I found that having proper support with people you truly trust and feel safe with is absolutely essential for a satisfying birth experience. I'm eager to support you, educate you, reassure you, and help you advocate for everything you want your birth to be, whether that's hospital, home, or birth center. Birth is better where you feel safest, and it's my goal to ensure you always feel safe, heard, loved, respected, and empowered throughout your journey.

Welcome! My name is Noura, I am a DONA Certified Birth Doula, RI Certified Perinatal Doula, Postpartum Doula and lucky mama to 2 beautiful children. I stepped into my role as a birth doula because I seek to walk alongside women as they bring their babies into this world feeling empowered and respected. I trust the physiological process of birth and the intuition of women, and I work to support them by providing immense care and love as they navigate the transition to motherhood.
Before being called to doula work, I received a Bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration. I went on to spend 7 years working as a chiropractic assistant in a prenatal/pediatric chiropractic office. As a part of my job, I documented hundreds of birth stories and helped women heal their bodies during their postpartum period. I helped answer questions they had regarding postpartum care for themselves and in doing that, I held space for women to share their birth stories and stories of motherhood. I quickly found myself being pulled into the birth world but it wasn’t until after becoming a mother that I truly understood the support that mothers needed most. Having had both a medicated hospital birth and unmedicated home birth, I come to doula work with a very down-to-earth approach to the individual expectations and feelings of each person. My lived experiences allow for me to empathize with my clients in a deeper, more intentional way. I strive for moms to have safe, memorable, beautiful, and empowering births and postpartum experiences. Being cared for and nurtured extends beyond just pregnancy, and supporting a mother and her family through postpartum is one of the most important jobs of the village I provide. This time period in your life as a parent is meant to be filled with bonding, healing, and resting. My approach as your postpartum doula is to help you use your innate wisdom to care for your baby while I care for you. In both areas of doula work, birth and postpartum, I prioritize tuning into the unique needs and desires of each family I serve, bringing a skillful combination of knowledge, and unwavering care and compassion to your birth and postpartum team.
